Beautiful, Vibrant Family-Oriented Wedding in Kenya

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses." ~Ann Landers

Kenya holds such a special place in my heart as it is my husband's home country and we visit family and friends on a regular visit. Due to the travel, we usually use the opportunity to photograph weddings or engagement sessions - lucky me!  This incredibly mesmerizing country is so, so beautiful with a vibrant culture, fantastic food, and the friendliest people you could imagine... obviously I was over the moon when Philip and Lorraine contacted us for their own wedding. The best part is that we had met this wonderful couple two years prior at their friend's wedding so we're honored to have had the connection come full circle.

Lorraine and Philip's wedding weekend was the most energetic, beautiful, and exciting weekend! We've previously posted their simple and refreshing engagement session prior and knew these two would be stars in the front of the camera. Their wedding day was fast-paced, full of family moments, crazy dance moves, and joyous times. Due to the fast-paced day, these two opted for a post-wedding session for more of a relaxed, comfortable bride and groom session and it was seriously so stunning. We'll let lovely Lorraine tell you more...

From the bride... "Well basically I was visiting a friend in Melbourne as I was living in Adelaide at the time. Went to a party one of the nights and that was the first time we met, back in 2011. He came over, introduced himself and he rejoined his friends! I figured he was shy. I was shy too but he had definitely made an impression! We met later that year during my next visit to Melbourne, we exchanged telephone numbers and kept in touch as friends till I moved to Melbourne for work and further studies! We started dating, got to know each other a bit more, discovered we had a lot in common, and shared common goals. Time went by and the relationship grew stronger and we soon realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Got engaged on my birthday and had a beautiful wedding back in our home country in Kenya, surrounded by family and friends."
